This authentic Aswan clay water cooler holds 7 liters. It is made from natural Aswan clay and hand-painted (handmade) by skilled artisans, so every piece has its own character and no two are exactly alike. It comes with its own matching hand-painted cup, ready to use and serve.
Natural Aswan clay has tiny pores that let a very small amount of moisture reach the outer surface and evaporate. As it evaporates, it draws heat away from the water inside. This is called evaporative cooling. The result is fresh, cool water with no electricity, and a cleaner taste than water stored in plastic.

First-Time Use:
1. Rinse the cooler and cup with clean water, inside and out.
2. Fill the cooler with clean water and let it soak for 12 to 24 hours so the pores saturate.
3. Discard the soaking water and rinse again before first use.
4. If you notice a slight earthy taste or smell at first, repeat the soaking. It fades with use.
Care & Cleaning:
– Wash with warm water and a soft brush. Avoid scented soaps and harsh detergents, since the pores absorb them.
– If you use soap, rinse very thoroughly.
– Let it dry completely in the open air, away from direct sunlight, before storing.
– Avoid sudden temperature changes.
– Wipe the painted exterior gently with a soft, lightly damp cloth, and don’t soak the painted areas for long periods.
– Clay is fragile, so handle with care.
Note: A light dampness on the outer surface is normal and shows the evaporative cooling is working. Placing the cooler on a tray or stand is recommended to catch any moisture.
